September Fun with The Amatos

The Hayloft is happy to welcome back Barry & Dari Anne!!

Yes, back for September Fun - a line dance weekend started with the Amatos & me back in 2004;

If you've been in the line dance arena for as long as I have, then these two need no introduction; but here's a bit about them for those who are not familiar with these two dance professionals, performers, instructors and all around entertainers!

Barry and Dari Anne Amato

Barry and Dari Anne Amato are no strangers to the global line dance community.  They first gained recognition from The Nashville Network’s Wildhorse Saloon Dance television series back in the mid 1990’s.  The pair were producers, choreographers and on camera dance instructors/personalities on the telecast.  Barry would occasionally jump in as the host for the show as well.  It was during one of their daily segments when Barry proposed to Dari Anne and the two have been “two stepping” through life for the past 28 years together.

After 3 years on the program, their segment was then syndicated on CMT Europe and Latin America broadening their exposure to a worldwide line dance audience.  This eventually led to their introduction to the line dance world and began traveling 40 plus weekends a year teaching and performing at various dance events.  The Amato’s did this for 10 years before realizing that they needed to settle back down in their Nashville home and get back to the roots of what ultimately brought them together.

Prior to their successful career in the line dance community, Barry and Dari Anne met at the Opryland USA theme park in Nashville as singer/dancers.  After Opryland, they performed at Dollywood for a few seasons. It was at Dollywood where the opportunity to grow as directors/choreographers presented itself.

Today, the couple resides in Nashville with their sheepadoodle, Dorothy and own a successful entertainment production company.  This includes producing a wide variety of entertainment for various corporate events held in Nashville.  Barry also was asked to produce and choreograph, “My People, My Music”, a large, scale production show featuring the life story and music of Dolly Parton and her family.  Currently, they write and produce “Country Tonite”, a Vegas style production show in Pigeon Forge, TN and is the longest running show in the Smoky Mountains.  Christmas time is also a busy season for the Amato’s with their original production of “We Need A lot of Christmas” dinner show and has been said to be “Nashville’s newest and most popular holiday attraction in Nashville.

Barry and Dari Anne are so happy to be back at “September Fun”, an event they were able to start with the amazing Forty Arroyo back in 2004!  They are so excited to see familiar faces, meet new ones and relive some of the glory days of when they were a part of the line dance community.
